Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account and using the MANC Umpire Central application (“the App”), you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

If you are under 16 years of age, your parent or guardian must consent to these terms on your behalf before you can use the App.

2. Purpose

The App is provided by Mount Annan Netball Club to manage umpire scheduling, availability, certifications, game check-in, and payments for registered umpires and mentors. It is intended for use by MANC umpires, mentors, and administrators only.

3. Accounts

• You must provide accurate and complete information when registering
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must not share your account with others or create multiple accounts
• Administrator accounts have access to personal information of other users and must handle this responsibly
• New accounts require administrator approval before full access is granted

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any purpose other than MANC umpiring activities
• Upload inappropriate, offensive, or misleading content
• Attempt to access other users’ accounts or personal data
• Interfere with the operation or security of the App
• Provide false availability or check-in information

5. Users Under 16

The App collects personal information from users under 16 in compliance with Australian privacy law. For these users:

• A parent or guardian must provide consent during registration
• Guardian contact details are required and stored
• Profile photos are not permitted for users under 16
• Bank account details for payment must be provided by the guardian
• GPS check-in data is handled with additional care

6. GPS Check-In

The App uses GPS location data to verify umpire attendance at game venues. By using the check-in feature, you consent to the collection of your location at the time of check-in and check-out. Location data is:

• Only collected when you actively use the check-in feature
• Used solely to verify your presence within 200m of the venue
• Automatically deleted after 90 days
• Never shared with third parties

7. Payments

Umpire payments are processed based on game assignments and attendance. Payment amounts are determined by umpire level and game type as set by MANC administrators. Bank account details are encrypted and only decrypted for payment processing by authorised administrators.

8. Intellectual Property

The App and its content are owned by Mount Annan Netball Club. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the App without permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided “as is” without warranty. MANC is a volunteer-run charity and accepts no liability for:

• Service interruptions or data loss
• Errors in scheduling or payment calculations
• Actions taken based on information in the App

10. Account Termination

MANC administrators may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms or are no longer an active MANC umpire. You may request account deletion at any time via the Settings page.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance. Significant changes will be communicated via in-app notification.
